Off-Leash Work with eCollar-Conditioning
Our advantage: PRIVATE, real-world GROUNDS plus in-depth knowledge in classical conditioning for high-prey-drive sporting and working dogs. Training must be done in environments that simulate where dogs will hunt, work and exercise — reeds, blinds, open water, and wide-open fields, woods, high brush, marshy areas and with wildlife — not just indoors, in garages, or on agility courses. Repeated exposure to high-distraction, properly conditioned terrain is essential to test and cement skills, build reliable focus, and prevent chasing wildlife. Our state-certified Ohio grounds are carefully maintained to closely replicate true hunting conditions and seasonal variations.
In this program you will learn:
Principles of classical conditioning
How to properly use an eCollar
Training in Drive
How to use collar pressure correctly
Basic obedience test (if not completed by us)
Training YOU how to work correctly with training tools
Completing obedience off leash
How to use a dog whistle
Testing skills in a high distraction environment - our grounds
Once enrolled in our course, we are on call to take your questions as they come up, or for urgent questions. This course will take approximately 8 sessions with testing and homework in between. The purchase of a collar is required. If we are doing the basics, or a basic refresher, we will add sessions depending on the dog. If your dog needs a complete re-do of his basics, you may purchase it below along with this course.
We’ll assess your dog’s basic obedience before starting. You can choose a full review or a refresher (on-leash or low-distraction) before collar work. Buy these courses now or add them after the first session. If we determine your dog needs a full basics redo before collar work, we will advise to add on a basics course before collar conditioning.
You will have access to phone support and facetime consultation during training. Post-training, customers receive 1 year of free full support after training. If habits slip at home from inconsistent standards or miscommunication, we ensure you leave confident and successful. All issues outside the scope of this course will be addressed in separate training sessions.
